Pre-Med APAMSA (Asian Pacifics American Medical Student Association) cooperatively develops and maintains a comfortable environment that fosters a sense of belonging and an appreciation for pre-med undergraduates of diversity not only among Asian Pacific Americans (APA), but also within the entire University community.
The University of Arizona, Tucson Pre-Med APAMSA (Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association) seeks to promote health for Asian and Pacific Islander communities and individuals, as well as other communities of color, through community action and health education. The diversity of Asian communities in Tucson necessitates elevating awareness of and addressing unmet health needs specific to each community. These goals stand behind projects of mentorship, conferences, health fairs, blood pressure screenings and immunizations in partnership with free clinics, in addition to other projects under consideration.
